Lim Soon Seng's MERDEKA from India is a good lesson for all Malaysian citizens. I think its also a nasty ALERT to WISMA PUTRA.
I also think that the Indian authorities could have been more professional and had notified our Embassy in New Delhi when a Malaysian citizen was arrested, detained, charged in court and subsequently jailed.
Based on his own admission Lim is almost certainly guilty under the Indian Immigration laws but we are talking about fairness, about wisdom.
Aren't we, Kuala Lumpur and New Delhi, supposed to be friends?
Our foreign missions need to buck up when it comes to being of service to Malaysian citizens abroad.
Where is the so called DIPLOMACY?

Lawyer Gobind Singh Deo and dad should be happy as the truth would only hurt the 'gangsters'.
p/s Wonder why the coroner ordered pertinent evidence to be expunged. maybe in another court for a different charge, Sir?

Muhyiddin, Anwar Perform Tarawih Prayers Together
BUKIT MERTAJAM, Aug 23 (Bernama) -- In the heat of campaigning, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin coincidently performed the tarawih prayers together with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the Bukit Indera Muda Jamek Mosque, here Sunday night.
The Deputy Prime Minister, who was accompanied by Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir, Penang Umno liaison committee deputy chairman Datuk Zainal Abidin Osman and Permatang Pauh Umno division head Datuk Abdul Jalil Abdul Majid, arrived at the mosque at 8.40pm.
Anwar, who is Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) adviser, showed up 15 minutes later after the prayers had started.
Full BERNAMA report HERE.
p/s This midnight news dispatch is rather interesting, particularly the fact that Anwar Ibrahim chose to leave half-way through the Tarawih prayers.

THIS IS NOT POLITICS!
I demand Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Tun Hussien Onn to take serious note and the necessary action against DAP socialist youth national leader Loke Siew Fook if he had indeed insulted the Malaysian Monarchy as contained HERE.
I fear the situation might get out of control if such dastardly insults against the Sultan of Perak and his prince Raja Nazrin is condoned any further.
The shameful web-posting is not only abusive of Raja Azlan Shah and Raja Nazrin, but also appears to be seeking to wipe out our entire MONARCHY.
Loke Siew Fook is no layman; he is also the Member of Parliament for Rasah. He MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE if he is the author of the outright SEDITIOUS posting.
ROCKY’s Bru for more.

Despite the many shortcomings and hiccups along the way, we sailed the rough seas with great confidence and a clear direction.
Many developing countries and even some developed ones relied on us for guidance and ‘out-of-the-box’ kind of ideas, not only on development but also international relations and fresh 21st century diplomacy.
Malaysia was a respected nation that drew admiration from friends and foes.
We held our heads high when our Prime Minister spoke, either in PWTC during the Umno General Assembly or at the United Nation’s General Assembly before other world leaders.
Vision 2020 was our long term goal (we’re now slightly more than a decade away from that point in time) and I believe that 2020 will say a lot about Malaysia and Malaysians in future.
Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad and his team of cabinet members plus the various planning units of the government then, drafted the national ‘holistic’ development blue-print that transcends race, religion, color or lingo.
The ultimate aspiration was the evolution (particularly mental evolution) of the various races towards a truly cohesive society called Bangsa Malaysia. We just aspired to be Malaysian first before anything else.
I think Bangsa Malaysia = 1Malaysia.
(I don’t understand Islam Hadhari and almost everything that Malaysia’s 5th Prime Minister did or rather let others do … and I’m not sorry about it.)
But are we now heading in the right direction, towards realizing a national dream which was spelled out in 1991?
V2020 is a dream that was slowly being transformed into reality with good support from Malaysians until Dr.Mahathir unsuspectingly handed over the mantle of leadership to his successor in October 2003.
What Dr.Mahathir’s successor did to Vision2020 and the entire social fabric of our society is now left to Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to repair.
In just more than 100 days after assuming office, the Prime Minister and his deputy Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin have demonstrated a greater level of leadership that has renewed our confidence.
I hope we could stay the course this time and be strict with those who are adamant about derailing this beloved nation.
Vision2020, I believe, is still within our grasp with the renewed confidence in Malaysia’s new leadership.

STATESMAN Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad SAYS Anwar Ibrahim is the root cause of ugly street demonstrations in Malaysia.
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin THINKS Anwar Ibrahim is a traitor.
The Economist is now SAYING that Anwar Ibrahim is a chameleon.
I DON’T TRUST Anwar Ibrahim, even with my worn-out Japanese slippers.
I THINK he is a liar because of many reasons, the top most on the long list of lies being his nationwide September 16 drama.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF DATUK SERI ANWAR IBRAHIM?
