TEMPO Indonesia fitnah Najib Razak lagi?

Laporan Jawatankuasa Kira Kira Wang Negara agak jelas walaupun disiapkan bersama pelbagai kekangan.

1MDB SRC International - WANTED STILL WANTED?

Wanted by MACC, but cannot be located

KUALA LUMPUR: Three prominent Malaysian businessmen sought to assist investigations of fraud, mismanagement and corruption in 1MDB and related companies, are no longer in the country.
Members of the investigating team of the Special Task Force have been unable to locate Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil and Datuk Suboh Mohd Yassin. They were supposed to have given statements over various transactions linked to the private banking account supposedly belonging to the Prime Minister.
Sources close to the task force said intelligence reports suggest one of them is in Indonesia while the other could not be traced.
They have also sought to locate businessman Low Taek Jho, or Jho Low to assist in their probe. He is reportedly operating out of Hong Kong.
All three are required to assist in providing information on the transfer of funds from a former 1MDB subsidiary – SRC International Sdn Bhd – which is now a unit directly under the Finance Ministry.

BNM issues 'wanted' poster for former 1MDB execs

PETALING JAYA: Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) is seeking for two individuals to assist in investigations under the Exchange Control Act 1953 in relation to the ongoing probe into 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
In a posting on its Facebook page today, BNM released a "wanted" poster, requesting the public to come forward, should they have information on Casey Tang Keng Chee, 50 and Jasmine Loo Ai Swan, 42.
It urged those with any information on the duo to contact BNM at 03-26988044 ext: 8554 / 7610 or lodge a report at the nearest police station.
Tang is a former executive director of 1MDB and was alleged to have worked with tycoon Low Taek Jho and top executives of PetroSaudi International to get 1MDB to subscribe to US$500 million (RM1.9 billion) of murabaha notes.
Some US$260 million of this money from 1MDB was used by Low to buy UBG Bhd, according to a report by The Edge Weekly.
The report, published on June 7, said that Tang and 1MDB chief investment officer Nik Faisal Nik Kamil were actively working with PetroSaudi and Low in the UBG takeover.
Loo joined 1MDB in 2011 to replace Tang. - TheSun
1. Are the above 'fugitives' still WANTED to assist the relevant authorities in the probe into 1MDB / SRC & other related companies linked to 1MDB-SRC-Najib SCANDAL?

2. If they are still WANTED why is it that almost everyone tasked with locating these 'fugitives' are keeping mum?

3. If the Royal Malaysian Police could obtain a warrant of arrest against Claire Brown of the Sarawak Report and immediately seek the help of Aseanapol and Interpol to nab her, WHY the apparent silence or perceived non-action against the 'fugitives' above?

4. Which of the two cases (Claire Brown) or the 1MDB/SRC/Najib scandal is more important and is believed to have caused/having the risk of incurring losses amounting to Billion of Ringgit in Government funds? Could we please get our priorities right.

5. There has been widespread talk (rumours/hearsay/cigar-bar gossip/anonymous comments in blogs) that at least two of the THREE wanted guys are in Indonesia, purportedly under the protection of a certain business tycoon with close relationship to the fugitives' friends here. Is this true? Do we know where they are hiding or anything about foreigners protecting them? Are we still  actively looking for these fugitives ?

6. If the above 'fugitives' are no longer WANTED, why has there been no announcement or statements to that effect. Certainly Najib and the 'fugitives' family members would be elated with such an announcement.

7. Since the MACC has made it very clear that they will be resuming their investigations into SRC International, could the Malaysian public then expect some renewed vigour in tracking down those WANTED 'fugitives'? I'm sure we could even seek the help of FBI, CIA and other powerful agencies apart from Aseanapol and Interpol if we are really serious about wanting  to nail those 'fugitives', can't we?

8. Finally please be reminded that we, the sad, irritated, frustrated, angry, very disappointed but determined Malaysians, are following this case and other cases related to the 1MDB scandal very closely.

To refresh, a definite statement to clarify if those Wanted are still Wanted or have they been cleared by a similar justification of just channelling 'donations to the Prime Minister of Malaysia' would be much appreciated.

Over to you MACC, Bank Negara and the Royal Malaysian Police.

p/s MACC could also take this opportunity to clarify who in the MACC actually issued/authorised/signed the purported statement clearing Najib Razak of any wrongdoings pertaining the approximately RM2.6 billion ringgit donation. Clearing the air would better than suffocating on somebody else' stinking waste. Thank you.

Malaysia kini masyhur di-mata dunia.

Jangan tanya kenapa dan mengapa kita masyhur, tetapi kita nyata mashyur.

Penduduk Indonesia berjumlah lebih kurang 300 juta orang. Jika hanya 10% yang tahu membaca pun, angkanya agak besar. Jangan risau, kita masyhur.

Terima kasih Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

p/s Buatlah apa saja yang difikirkan betul. Tiada siapa yang mampu menghalang mereka yang begitu masyhur dimerata dunia.

Enticing the President?

"I received a call from Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono informing me that he (Susilo) had received a call from the ‘Washington Police’ asking the president to accept Anwar’s invitation to a meeting,” Jusuf said, adding that he told Susilo not to bow to Washington’s demands and decline the invitation as Anwar is only an opposition leader and not the Prime Minister of the country. - Jusuf Kala

Well the US-messenger did meet the President of Indonesia recently but I was told that he brought along an irresistible offer from Uncle Sam.

It was not an order but an offer to entice the President.

I'm sure President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is a wise man, much wiser after Jusuf Kala's expose, to be excited with the messenger's wayang kulit.

p/s I shall leave the 'offer' under wraps at the moment.

Did Anwar Ibrahim tell the truth?

BERNAMA Interview with Hamid Awaludin
Hamid Awaludin was Indonesian minister of law and human rights from 2004-2007 when Jusuf Kallawas vice president, and was Indonesian ambassador to Russia and Belarus from 2008-2011.

1.
Anwar Ibrahim claims it was Jusuf Kallawho approached him whereas JusufKalla said he was approached by Anwar. Which is true?

Hamid Awaludin:

I was present during Jusuf Kalla’s discussions with both Anwar and Najib. It was Jusuf Kalla who accepted Anwar’s request to mediate. He did not take theinitiative and approach Anwar. Jusuf Kalla does not have any political and economic interests in Malaysia. He is busy with his affairs in Indonesia. So why wouldhe take the initiative and approach Anwar? It isn’t logical.

Jusuf Kalla considers both Anwar and Najib as good friends. He wanted to help because they were competing fiercely with one another. That is how hesaw this.

2.
Anwar claims there were several "preconditions" in the agreement eg.free elections, fair media, etc. Can you outline any preconditions?

Hamid Awaludin:

I am very sure that there were no preconditions discussed between Jusuf Kalla and Anwar. For me, adeal is deal. And there was a deal that both parties – Anwar and Najib – agreed to.

Some people always try and find a loophole after the event, or an excuse not to deliver on their promise. Some people are different in character to others.

3.
Anwar now claims PM Najib didn't sign the agreement and it was therefore not valid. Jusuf Kalla says the PM did give his verbal agreement and therefore the deal was agreed by both parties, and was valid. Is Anwar correct or is JusufKalla?

Hamid Awaludin:

Anwar knew that Najib did not sign the agreement.Najib had very reasonable, political reasons for not signing the agreement and Anwar understood and accepted it.

But Najib gave his word that he would honour the agreement. He consented to the agreement. Basic morality teaches us that man’s word is more important than his signature. And deeds are more important than any declaration. Najib delivered on his promise. He called for national reconciliation during hiselection result acceptance speechNajib’s deeds matched his word.

4.
On Election Day, do you feel that the agreement was still in place? Had anything happened before Election Day to invalidate the agreement?

Hamid Awaludin:

I am very sure that nothing jeopardized the agreementin the run up to the election or on Election Day. The agreement still stood. Things changed after Najib was declared the winner. Even the day after Najib’s victory, I was personally optimistic that deal is deal, and both sides would abide by the dealBut Anwar broke the deal. Perhaps he was unable to manage his followers, especially because the DAP had won more seats thanAnwar’s own party. Anwar found himself in a difficultpositionBut a leader must lead, not be led.

5.
Do you and Jusuf Kalla feel Anwar broke the deal? If so, how?

Hamid Awaludin:

I feel that Anwar still does not accept political reality.Perhaps he has things he will not say because he doesn’t want to hurt people. I dont know.

6.
Do you feel Anwar was/is sincere in wanting national reconciliation in Malaysia?

Hamid Awaludin:

I believed that Anwar had sincerity and I still hope hehas.

7.
Why do you think Anwar is behaving in the manner in which he is – denying the agreement, refusing to cede defeat andorganising protests across Malaysia?

Hamid Awaludin:

From the beginning, Anwar convinced himself that he would win the election. He had struggled for so longand he thought that this was the end of the struggle. He thought he would win the battle and defeat BarisanNasionalHis belief was strengthened by opinion polls that were often in his favourAnd each rally Anwarheld during the campaign attracted massive crowds. But in the end, the people’s choice is the ultimatefactor in democracy.
Anwar believed he would win the election but he was afraid Najib would resist and not hand over power. So Anwar wanted insurance against this scenario. That is why he came up with the idea of the deal.
