1MDB Scandal: Riza Aziz and Jho Low back in Malaysia ?

Its unthinkable that both Riza Aziz and Jho Low could have fled the US in trying to escape from the FBI and other agencies, including the spicy hot KARI (Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Initiative). Don't think they would have fled as it would not only be foolish but would most certainly reflect on their guilt and alleged involvement in stealing money and/or using money stolen from 1MDB. 

There has not been a single word from any of those specifically named in the US Justice Department's suit to forfeit assets worth USD1billion (approximately RM4billion) which were bought using money stolen from 1MDB. 

Riza Aziz is Prime Minister Najib Razak's stepson (his current wife Rosmah Mansor's son from her previous marriage). 

His close associate, flamboyant 'businessman' Low Taek Jho @ Jho Low is also nowhere to be seen or heard. There has been reports of him being absent from his usual hangouts and watering hole in the US. 

Najib Razak was not named in the suit but he has been described in detail to fit the Justice Department's framing of Malaysian Official 1.

Our neighbour SINGAPORE too have finally found their fangs after the US Department of Justice's brave actions - Singapore Seizes S$240 Million in Assets Related to 1MDB Probe .

Singapore is trying to show that they are not an up and coming money laundering hub in the region but they are certainly not trying hard enough. Popping only after other jurisdictions have moved in a similar direction, as in their reaction to the Swiss banking authority's recent 1MDB-related actions, doesn't look good on the island state. 

Is Jho Low in Penang? That is Jho Low riding a trishaw up there but this picture was taken during his heydays as Najib Razak's public relations mover during the last general election in 2013. If you remember Korean superstar Psy in Penang then you can't forget Jho Low. 

But where is Jho Low now, he certainly has not returned to his trishaw rounds in Penang. 

Rumours, I repeat rumours, has it that both Rosmah's son Riza and Jho Low have returned to Malaysia from the US and would not be issuing any statements unless and until the United States Government frames criminal charges against them. 

There are many more versions of such rumours, including talk that they are both kept comfortable in a well guarded 'safe house' and not taking any visitors. These are the rumours making their rounds.

Jho Low and Riza may still be in New York for all we know, preparing to challenge the Department of Justice' suit to forfeit their assets worth USD1 billion. But its certainly not fair to remain silent while the unnamed but well described Malaysian Official 1 enjoys the international limelight (a glokal one that is). 

By the way, rest assured that our much respected Inspector General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar who is still investigating the 1MDB scandal would have made the necessary announcements had both Riza and Jho Low set their foot back in their beloved Malaysia. 

The duo would have been subjected to long hours of probing questions concerning the missing funds of 1MDB. I'm sure about that. Khalid used to be a top investigator, prior to his appointment as the IGP. 

SOSMA would be yawning wide waiting to be unleashed on suspected traitors and saboteurs. 

Certainly the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission too would have started questioning Jho Low and Riza Aziz IF they have indeed slipped into town. 

Has anyone seen Jho Low and Riza Aziz anywhere, in or outside Malaysia?  If you do please alert Khalid and the MACC because they must be looking hard for these guys.

The famous Prime Minister of Malaysia

While UMNO continues to live in denial the party's president Najib Razak continues to bask in the limelight as one of the most famous prime minister in the world. 

UMNO and the 12 others in Barisan Nasional, the ruling coalition, continue to jump in joy due to the international recognition enjoyed by their leader. 

Don't even try asking them why Najib is so popular in the eyes of the world. They may turnaround and accuse you of trying to topple a democratically elected Government. 

Due to his overwhelming popularity and service to this beloved nation Najib is now going around preaching for fellow Malaysians to uphold the good name of Malaysia. 

Malaysians must be dumb and not listen or trust anyone else but Najib because he is one of the most famous politician albeit for the wrong reasons.

Najib continues to think that he is doing Malaysia proud. Never mind that even foreigners liken him to the naked Emperor in Hans Christian Andersen's The Emperor's New Clothes tale.

Such is the level of hypocrisy in this blessed land. Watch the video again as food for some thought. Thinking is still allowed in Malaysia at this point of time. There is no assurance that thinking would still be legal next week.

I pray the moral compass is recovered soon enough before this nation is further ruined by the naked emperor and his goons.

The Emperor's New Clothes - A vain Emperor who cares about nothing except wearing and displaying clothes hires two weavers who promise him the finest, best suit of clothes from a fabric invisible to anyone who is unfit for his position or "hopelessly stupid". 

The Emperor's ministers cannot see the clothes themselves, but pretend that they can for fear of appearing unfit for their positions and the Emperor does the same. 

Finally the weavers report that the suit is finished, they mime dressing him and the Emperor marches in procession before his subjects. 

The townsfolk play along with the pretense, not wanting to appear unfit for their positions or stupid. 

Then a child in the crowd, too young to understand the desirability of keeping up the pretense, blurts out that the Emperor is wearing nothing at all and the cry is taken up by others. 

The Emperor suspects the assertion is true, but continues the procession.

aPandi says Najib has done no wrong

Najib Razak, the scandal-ridden Malaysian Prime Minister has been cleared from any criminal wrongdoings and corrupt practices by none other than the Attorney General whom Najib appointed to replace the prematurely retired former AG Tan Sri Gani Patail.

All must be well and good in my country now. It must be.

The learned Attorney General has also been recently appointed to the board of Tabung Haji. Don't ask me if it is appropriate or even morally right for a serving AG to sit on the board of a national pilgrims fund. The AG may excuse himself if any legal cases against Tabung Haji passes before him but which position he chooses to excuse himself from could be a tough call. 

Could the Tabung Haji appointment be a pre-retirement golden handshake for possibly the shortest serving AG in our history? I don't know.

Whichever way this develops the right hand man would certainly strive to make sure that Tabung Haji doesn't go into a tail spin, as many depositors, including me, fear. 

Tabung Haji CEO Tan Sri Ismee has also come out with a convincing statement assuring depositors and Malaysians in general that all is well and good in Tabung Haji. It must be true. We must trust these guys. 

A long time journalist friend who was at the AG's press conference where aPandi read out a prepared text earlier today thinks she may have seen the soon to be 'promoted' Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC).

Is Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed, the serving chief of the MACC, also looking at a pre-mature retirement like in the case of Gani Patail? That has been the talk, she quips.    

She says rumours has it that this guy from the AG's chambers helped clear up the '2.6b' and SRC mess and was promised the post in return for his professional favour in clearing the innocent Prime Minister from baseless slander. It was kind of a national service for 'DZ' the humble servant. 

Najib is innocent because he has returned the unused portion of the more than 2 billion ringgit to the Saudi family. Don't ask me who in the Saudi family donated and accepted back his/her money, I don't know. I don't think anybody knows for sure who that individual is, not even Najib. 

Even Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi was a little confused if the Saudi royal family donor was an individual or a group of individuals. Maybe he is still confused.

Najib also don't know how 42 million ringgit landed in his personal account. He is innocent. The SRC guys who approved the 42 million ringgit transfer must have been intoxicated or outright out of their mind. It could have been just a naughty prank but Najib is believed to have issued cheques from his account without knowing he had billions in cash in his account. It's a bit confusing, I know, but Najib is innocent. 

Sarawak Report says Najib charged millions of ringgits in expenses and purchases to credit card/s issued to SRC. They even produced details including the alleged credit card numbers to prove their claim but it cannot be true because Najib is innocent. Apandi the learned former judge turned AG has clearly indicated that Najib has done no wrong. We must trust Apandi.

We must put our right and left hands together and clap because Najib has been cleared by Apandi Ali, who is also a newly appointed board member of Tabung Haji.

All must be well and good but is Apandi also looking at retirement?  If so who would be the next Attorney General? Here comes the next obedient servant of the ruler.

Oh Ya! Tan Sri Zeti of Bank Negara will also leave the scene sometime in March/April. Ismee Ismail of Tabung Haji is said to be among those in the running for the Governor's post. 

All must be well and good. 

After having managed Tabung Haji with such professionalism and ethics since their appointment I think both Ismee and Tabung Haji Chairman Datuk Seri Azeez Rahim qualify to run Bank Negara Malaysia next. We must trust these guys.

The possibilities are endless.

The Attorney General’s decision with respect to the investigations on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) relates to Bank Negara Malaysia’s recommendation to initiate criminal prosecution against 1MDB for breaches under the Exchange Control Act 1953 (ECA). It is to be noted that under the Federal Constitution, the decision to initiate criminal prosecution lies solely with the Attorney General.

As an investigative authority, the Bank is duty bound to conduct its investigations with the highest professional care and diligence. The Bank at all times expects full and accurate disclosure of information by applicants in considering any application under the ECA. On its part, the Bank concluded that permissions required under the ECA for 1MDB’s investments abroad were obtained based on inaccurate or without complete disclosure of material information relevant to the Bank’s assessment of 1MDB’s applications.

Therefore, the Bank has revoked three permissions granted to 1MDB under the ECA for investments abroad totalling USD1.83 billion and also issued a direction under the Financial Services Act 2013 to 1MDB to repatriate the amount of USD1.83 billion to Malaysia and submit a plan to the Bank for this purpose.

The Bank will continue to extend its full cooperation to ongoing investigations by the Royal Malaysia Police and the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission.

MALAYSIA - Conspiracy of a thickhead and his jesters

It was a mega conspiracy which briefly became an old man's plot before re-emerging as a conspiracy again. It is touted as actions detrimental to parliamentary democracy.

Initially the tale was presented with much awe, with the alleged involvement of retired top notch politicians, foreign nationals, a media magnate and his entire stable of media outfits and even a former Prime Minister's aide. The infamous and totally untrustworthy fugitive blogger who has now transformed into Najib Razak's greatest lover was among the first to spin the tale. 

Xavier Justo, who never tampered or falsified any 1MDB-PetroSaudi documents or the fugitive blogger's outrageous Statutory Declaration, was also thrown into the plot. When Justo was arrested in Thailand for some other crime, the jesters went into overdrive trying to humour the thickhead. The thickhead thought he had successfully covered his tracks and fooled the people.

As the thickhead is such he couldn't understand why the people refused to believe a single word that he and his jesters were saying, while fresh evidence and expose of the thickhead's numerous crimes against the nation continued.

In recent weeks the conspiracy to topple the government via actions detrimental to parliamentary democracy by utilising Justo's tempered/fabricated/falsified documents on 1MDB-PetroSaudi scandal has all but died. Justo's sentencing to a three-year jail by a Thai Court for blackmailing his employer must have nailed it tight. Justo seems to be a forgotten part of the play now.

Suddenly we have another conspiracy or a plot to topple the government through the back door, or so say a few jesters who could soon be promoted as junior thickheads for their ability to outperform even the best of clown from the Three Stooges. 

Initially it was an old man. A retired, old but influential politician. Then it was the old man, a lawyer, a yellow A4 paper and about 20 other Members of Parliament from the coalition which the lame-duck Prime Minister leads. We still don't know who the old man is but MPs openly accused as being part of the conspiracy by another jester of an anonymous blogger has drawn multiple police reports. Watch closely how the police, particularly the Inspector General of Police, treats these reports compared to the fresh reports alleging another round of 'actions detrimental to parliamentary democracy'.

This latest conspiracy tale is nothing but another attempt to hoodwink the people. Everybody knows it and a few have come forward to educate certain politician/ministers. 

The action of Members of Parliament getting together in private to deliberate on the state of affairs of the nation is not a crime. It is certainly not a conspiracy or a plot. It is the right thing to do and it is provided for under the law. 

If more than half of the 222 elected representatives of the people from throughout the nation who have been allowed to sit in Dewan Rakyat as Members of Parliament decide that Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak is unfit to lead the Government then the Prime Minister must step down. That is the law, it is NOT A CRIME. 

Lately shouts of 'over our dead body' by a minister reverberated threatening those who dared to break ranks to bring down a government via the backdoor. Please confine such threats within the party for party members. It may be an offence within the party, Umno/BN, to break ranks but do take note that desperate times requires desperate measures. 

If you ask me 'Are we in a desperate situation now? I might slap you or get someone to recruit you as the thickhead's jester because you must be an undisputed idiot.

To be a sitting duck is our choice

Some friends ask me, what are the ways that a sitting Prime Minister can be unseated? 

If you believe in the rule of law and the constitutional process, which i no doubt defend, a sitting prime minister can only be "removed" when he loses the confidence of the majority elected members of Parliament.

If you feel, as I do, that despite his earlier efforts as an inclusive and an open liberal minded PM, our PM has

- lost the moral legitimacy to lead the Government of the day,

- could no longer resolve the crisis of confidence that the Government and the Nation are facing, and yet

-- political process doesn't seem to be able to bring about immediate changes ?

Well, please express your honest view to your MP, both in private and public; even organize a petition to ask your MP to take a clear and unequivocal stand whether he or she still think that our PM should continue to serve.

That will be a democratic process one could take. ..or to be a sitting duck and to wait for GE to cast your vote of discontent.

Of course,one is at full liberty and has full political right to defend our PM and accords him the benefit of doubt and express one's confidence in him.

The choice is ours.

Do remember, the mandate of PM and MPs all come from the People.

So, attempting to remove a Prime Minister who has - lost the moral legitimacy to lead the Government of the day, could no longer resolve the crisis of confidence that the Government and the Nation are facing is not a crime. It is in fact national service. A service to Malaysia and her people.

If the IGP and others are still hungry try probing deeper into the recent statements and media interviews of Datuk Haji Abdul Rahman Dahlan the Member of Parliament for Kota Belud and Minister in the Federal Cabinet. 

Abdul Rahman Dahlan may have exposed the actual CONSPIRACY, plot and a host of definite actions seriously undermining parliamentary democracy in our nation. 

The real conspiracy could be the heinous plot to maintain a possible criminal at the helm of the administration, by hook or crook. Abdul Rahman has admitted to such acts, in an open interview with The Star newspaper. 

It is obvious now that even the Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa has lied to justify the recent removal of Attorney General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail. By Abdul Rahman Dahlan's admission, Gani was not removed because he was sick. Gani was removed because the Prime Minister was about to be charged for a crime against this nation. This was what Rahman Dahlan said. 

Please be reminded that Rahman Dahlan is also the Strategic Communications Director of Barisan Nasional. He said Najib had to 'take people out' after realising that there was a criminal charge being finalised against him.

So, who are the conspirators and what really is the conspiracy? 

Who decided that the move to charge Najib was a conspiracy or a plot? 

Have the police instituted any action or investigation based on Abdul Rahman Dahlan's admission. Why is the often talkative IGP silent on this revelations? 

I'm not a fan of Lim Kit Siang (He has even blocked me on Twitter as in the case of numerous other Opposition politicians after heated exchanges in the past) but I fully agree with the veteran DAP leader's call for Abdul Rahman Dahlan's arrest. 

If we are really keen to expose the real conspiracy to rob the nation and fool the people with lies and deception via deliberate abuse of power and position, we can. As Gan Ping Sieu rightly put it, to be a sitting duck is also our choice.

Those of you who are blowing your trumpet threatening everything that moves including Members of Parliaments against the wishes of an overwhelming majority of the 30-odd million Malaysians please take note that you may inadvertently be the biggest promoters of street demonstrations. 

If you try to scuttle basic democratic rights of the people, via their elected representatives in this case, as provided for under any Parliamentary Democracy, you will just fuel greater public anger. 

Bersih is just around the corner. Don't push those still reluctant Malaysians to the streets.  Thank You!

CRIMINAL charge sheets against the Prime Minister - YES or NO?

'Is IGP admitting Najib charge sheet exists?'

IGP Khalid Abu Bakar stating that the action against MACC was taken as there was a need to find how a copy of a charge sheetcould be uploaded into the Sarawak Report portal has drawn DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang’s attention.

“Does this mean that the draft charge sheet against Premier Najib Abdul Razak for the offence of corruption is not false or a figment of the imagination?” he wondered in a statement yesterday.

He added that new Attorney-General Mohamed Apandi Ali (photo) had in the first instance dismissed the draft charge sheet as false, and if so, this should have been the end of the story.

“When the police arrested and interrogated MACC officers did it mean that there was in fact such a draft corruption charge sheet against Najib on the premises of MACC?

“The IGP, the attorney-general and Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi must fully explain to the people whether if there was in fact such a draft charge sheet and that if it had been leaked to the social media in violation of the Official Secrets Act.” - Malaysiakini

This pertinent question is being posed by not only the veteran Opposition leader. Almost every sane Malaysian are asking the same question at different platforms. Some do it openly while others confine it to WhatsApp and whispers.

So, are the 'charge sheets' which spelled out the specific provisions and sections of the law under which the Prime Minister was to be charged, including an alternate charge, as publicised by the much feared Sarawak Report genuine or are they still considered fake?

I hope the newly minted Attorney General would give us Malaysians a quick assurance that his initial statement is indeed correct. If the AG's statement was not accurate then the learned AG could just say so. Admitting a mistake is not a crime, I think.

In the same breath maybe the AG could also help shed some light into his 'instructions to the Inspector General of Police' pertaining actions against the MACC directors and senior officers.

Don't get me wrong Tan Sri AG, I'm just trying to clear up a confusion here. It's a total mess in public sphere with an increasing number of people trying to take sides in a so-called MACC vs The Rest of the World battle. 

Please also take note that the Attorney General Chambers itself has come under greater public scrutiny since the unceremonious removal of Tan Sri Gani Patail and the disbanding of the Task Force.

When something or someone is put under the spot light so many questions start to pop out. They may be irrelevant or unnecessary but some do catch and further fuel the people's imagination. 

Take for instance Tan Sri AG's political affiliation. There are allegations that the AG is/was an active member of a political party and had even contested in a General Election. Thus people conclude that the AG's loyalty to his (current/former) party president could not be discounted. This is what members of the public, who think they are in the know, talk about these days. Did you ever contest in an election Tan Sri? 

Once again Tan Sri AG, let me make it clear that everything stated above is/are not allegations against you or anyone else in any way. I'm sure it would be much welcomed if you could take some time to ponder on the issues and explain/clarify if deemed necessary.

Just remember that Malaysians are watching you very closely, Tan Sri Attorney General.  

IGP has come clean

Khalid said the action against MACC directors and two senior officers was taken because there was a need to find how the copy of a charge sheet could be uploaded onto the Sarawak Report portal.

"We have also called witnesses from Bank Negara and other commercial banks in conducting the investigations. We acted on the instructions from the Attorney General. We arrested three people, seized documents and set them free.

"We have also returned the documents after we finished checking it. We only focused on the leakage of information in Sarawak Report and also leakage of banking information. We consider this act as a serious crime as it could threaten the stability of the country," he said.- The Star 

P.S. I'm not engaged in any activity that could be deemed to be a threat to parliamentary democracy, neither am I trying to topple/bring down a democratically elected Government. I'm just convinced beyond any doubt that Mohd Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak is no longer fit to be the Prime Minister of Malaysia. I have strong reasons to suspect that, over and above the criminal allegations against him, he is mentally ill. Thank You.

1MDB - Timbalan Perdana Menteri desak penjelasan Najib Razak

Dengar dengan teliti apa yang diperkatakan oleh Timbalan Perdana Menteri berkenaan krisis politik, ketirisan kepercayaan umum terhadap kerajaan serta pemimpin dan yang paling penting tentang skandal 1MDB. 

Ini sebahagian daripada ucapan Timbalan Presiden Umno ketika menutup persidangan perwakilan Umno Bahagian Cheras di-ibu negara malam tadi.

Sebenarnya kenyataan Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin ini sudah lama dinanti-nanti. Lebih kurang dua bulan lalu Muhyiddin telah pun membangkitkan kerisauan beliau akan 'bencana 1MDB' tetapi malangnya nasihat beliau hilang begitu sahaja seperti daun keladi disiram air. - Luahan hati Timbalan Presiden Umno - 1MDB 

Antara inipati desakan kali ini demi kesinambungan Umno serta Barisan Nasional adalah agar Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Razak tampil merungkai sendiri skandal 1MDB yang kini semakin hanyir. 

Muhyiddin secara terus terang berkata Najib harus tampil menjelaskan laporan akhbar The Wall Street Journal yang menyatakan bahawa wang tunai berjumlah lebih kurang RM2.6 billion ringgit telah dimasukkan kedalam akaun peribadi Perdana Menteri. 

Selain penjelasan penuh berhubung hutang mencecah RM42 billion yang ditanggung 1MDB, umum sudah tidak sabar untuk mendengar penjelasan Mohd Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak berkenaan duit berbillion dalam akaun peribadi beliau. 

Jika fitnah katakan fitnah, berdiam diri bukan lagi pilihan. 

Sebaliknya jika laporan WSJ itu benar maka mungkin sudah tiba masanya untuk Mohd Najib Bin Tun Abdul Razak untuk dihadapkan kemuka pengadilan. Tidak mungkin ada apa-apa bentuk penjelasan bagaimana duit berbillion ringgit boleh disalurkan kedalam akaun peribadi seorang penjawat awam berstatus Perdana Menteri. 

Mungkin juga sudah tiba masanya untuk pihak berwajib memulakan siasatan serta tindakan yang sewajarnya terhadap sesiapa sahaja, terutamanya penjawat awam serta anggota kabinet, yang disyaki cuba melindungi jenayah terhadap negara. 

Individu-individu yang berkomplot untuk melindungi jenayah dengan kenyataan dan laporan palsu bertujuan untuk mengelirukan pihak berkuasa tidak harus terlepas. Media yang berhempas pulas mengelirukan rakyat dengan pembohongan juga tidak harus terlepas dari tindakan sewajarnya. 

Hanya ini langkah penyelesaian bagi skandal yang telah merosakkan nama negara diperingkat antarabangsa. Dunia sedang perhatikan kita.

Kita harus ambil maklum akan laporan bahawa beberapa badan penyiasatan jenayah merentasi sempadan, termasuk dari Singapura, Britain, Hong Kong, Amerika Syarikat dan Switzerland juga sedang menyiasat skandal 1MDB serta beberapa syarikat dan individu berkaitan untuk kesalahan pengubahan wang haram, pemalsuan dokumen serta penipuan cukai. Pihak berkuasa Singapura juga telah membekukan dua akaun bank berkaitan 1MDB di republik itu.

Is Malaysia ruled by criminals now?

I don't think so. I don't think we are ruled by criminals although there has been increasing worry about corruption, abuse of power and outright treason at the corridors of power. There could just be one or two, if not a few, rascals whose cover is being blown away. They will face the music sooner... or later.

As a nation which broke free from the shackles of colonialism in 1957, we have been generally ruled and administered by men and women of great wisdom, good character, love for the nation and above all unquestionable loyalty to this land. 

Surely along the way we have had scums and rascals who tried to abuse little influence and power they had for monetary gains and personal elevation. We can proudly say that almost all of them failed in one way or another, sooner or later. Some so miserable in later life while the no so lucky ones suffering public shame not long after their sin against this nation and her people.

Malaysia has stood all such tests and tribulations and grew stronger. One of the underlying reasons why Malaysia could stand tall is due to the strength and wisdom of the unassuming Malaysians. Yes, us the ordinary Malaysians. 

Malaysians may appear quiet and easy-going with loads of 'tidak apa' attitude but we can easily differentiate between right and wrong. We don't need a Harvard tutorial for that skill. The awareness level is relatively good. Quality of parenting is also not so bad. I'm sure every parent would remind their children that cheating, stealing and trying to cover up theft and cheating by telling lies is forbidden. Parents pass on what has been drilled into them by their parents and such acts are forbidden in every religion, race, ethnicity. As a society, we are yet to go astray in that sense.  

So, coming back to the question of exposing crime. I'm sure we Malaysians could see the difference between a crime and the many acts to cover up the crime. 

Exposing a crime is not yet a crime in Malaysia and I'm sure it will stay that way as long as we the ordinary Malaysians keep our eyes and ears open.

While the Task Force - (Attorney General, Bank Negara, Police and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) are busy at work investigating a massive crime against this nation, there seems to be increased attempts to divert our attention away from that investigations of the crime of 'treason against our King and country'. Theft, money laundering and such are ancillary to treason.

We trust the Task Force investigating the channelling of Billion of Ringgit into Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak's personal bank account won't be arresting innocent people from the streets of Kuala Lumpur based on tampered documents and hearsay evidence from mentally retarded bankrupts. 

We are confident that the task force would leave no stones unturned, including those sinister attempts to cover up by some highly placed officials... if any.

Remember that covering up a crime is a serious crime. Exposing a crime is not and never will be, especially when the crime is against this nation.

Stand up. Don't let rascals and scums with little power and influence to bully you. 

1MDB Scandal Task Force Report - Prime Minister's account closed before freeze

SPECIAL TASK FORCE INVESTIGATION RELATING TO ALLEGATIONS OF FUNDS TRANSMITTED TO THE ACCOUNTS OF THE PRIME MINISTER

On 8 July 2015 at 9.40am, the Special Task Force investigating the allegations of funds transmitted to the accounts of the Prime Minister raided the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) office at Menara IMC in Kuala Lumpur. The search of the premises was completed at 6.45 pm.

The Attorney General, Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail, informed that the Special Task Force team obtained the materials required for its investigation including the minutes of meetings of the 1MDB Board of Directors, the Minute Book, bank statements and other bank details, reconciliation statements, ledger books, agreements of business and investment dealings, and files on 1MDB’s corporate social responsibility activities. The team also seized several notebook computers.

Regarding the freeze orders issued on 6 July 2015 against six bank accounts,  no bank accounts at AmBank Islamic held by the Prime Minister on that date were frozen because the bank accounts had already been closed on 30 August 2013 and 9 March 2015 respectively. The Special Task Force has obtained bank documents related to these accounts.

The Attorney General emphasized that all investigation documents received by the Attorney General are provided by the Special Task Force. Therefore, there is no issue of the Attorney General using documents published in the Wall Street Journal or elsewhere.

1MDB - You think we are stupid, THINK again!

PAS said today that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak had bungled when explaining the scope of the special task force set up to investigate claims that funds had been channelled into his personal accounts.

Party deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said that by doing so, Najib as the person accused in the probe had invited the perception that the special task force was not an independent entity.

"He made a mistake when he himself explained the scope of the investigations of the special task force.

"His statement invites the perception that the special task force is not independent, under orders or reporting the investigations to him... This is not right and not good for Najib's efforts in clearing his name.

"This action is even worse than the fact that the four individuals heading the probe – Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chairman Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed and Bank Negara governor Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz – are working under him," the PAS leader said in a statement.

He said that PAS once again urged Najib to go on leave pending investigations, to ensure that the probe currently underway would be seen as "clean". - Source

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Razak said yesterday that the task force investigating the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) report against him was investigating whether he used funds from 1Malaysia Development Bhd for his own interests.

Writing in his blog, Najib repeated his statement that he had never taken money for his own interest.

“The investigations that is being undertaken by the special task force is to determine whether accusations made by the WSJ that I have taken 1MDB funds for my own interest has basis or not,” he said.

“The investigations must take into account the veracity of the documents that have been published to support the newspaper’s allegations.” The combined task force was formed by members of the Attorney General’s office, Bank Negara Malaysia, the Royal Malaysian Police and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency.

Attorney General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail announced the task force investigations had never revealed the scope and intent of its investigations.

The WSJ published reports alleging that some US$700 million (RM2.67 billion) found its way into the personal bank accounts of Najib. It did not say what the money was being used for. - TMR

My advice to Najib Razak - If you think Malaysians are stupid, please continue issuing such statements. I reproduce below a reader's comment in my previous posting. 

I hope this could open your eyes and give you an inkling as to what the public think about this whole 1MDB scandal and you as the main suspect.

"How effective is the special task force when they report to the PM?

"Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak today said the scope of the special task force investigating The Wall Street Journal's claims against him, were whether he used 1MDB funds for his personal interest."

How can the suspect dictates terms to the task force investigating him (PM).

That is why Najib must take leave of absence or resign from his PM post immediately in order not to invalidate the integrity of the task force.  

Hello, you 4 Tan Sris on the task force why are you not "advising" Najib to leave?

The task force must investigate why the funds were deposited in Najib's personal accounts in the first place. 

There is already no question about this, that the funds were deposited in his personal accounts.

If they were deposited mistakenly by the bank, why didn’t he inform the bank immediately to rectify the mistake?

Otherwise, he is fully aware of the deposits and he must explain specifically where the funds came from. Till now he has not provided any information on these funds.

Isn’t this not an offence under the Anti-Money Laundering Act?  

Simple direct question requires a simple direct answer:

Did the money go into your account? Yes or no? Why do you keep saying "no money was used for your personal gain?" YOu have never denied that the money was deposited into your private accounts.

Why was the funds transferred into Najib's personal accounts if it was not for his use? Personal use, not personal use is totally irrelevant.Why did Bank Negara remain silent about such huge transfers since 2013? The murdered founder of AmBank made reports to Bank Negara, what happened to the reports? - Anon
