May Allah have mercy on Malaysia.
Our days ahead are filled with tyranny, oppression, suppression of information and people, and theft.
It will be our darkest time since Merdeka.
The disease of pride and arrogance (kibr) denigrates the soul's goodness and piety (taqwa). Hubris is the way of Iblis who rebelled against his Lord the Almighty Creator.
It is narrated that Moses (peace and blessings be upon him) once asked Allah Most Exalted: "Oh my Lord! Who is most deserving of Thy wrath and displeasure?"
The Lord said: "He whose heart is filled with pride and his tongue filthy, his eyes being devoid of shame, and his hands miserly - the one of evil character."
Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. said that Allah Most Sublime and High proclaimed:
"Pride is My cloak and Greatness is My robe. He who competes with Me in respect of either of them, I shall cast into the Fire."
"Certainly Allah knows what they conceal and what they reveal: Verily, He loves not the arrogant." (Quran 16:23)
"I shall turn away from My revelations those who behave arrogantly on the earth in defiance of what is right: even if they witness every sign they will not believe in it, and if they see the way of right conduct they will not adopt it, but if they see the way of error they choose it for themselves. That is because they deny Our revelations or disregard them. And for those who deny Our revelations and the Judgement in the Hereafter, their works will be fruitless. Can they expect any recompense other than for what they used to do?" (Quran 7:146-147)
